After jazz artist Esperanza Spalding snagged the Best New Artist Grammy award last night, Bieber fans lost it. I mean, they totally lost it! The category included nominees Justin Bieber, Drake, Florence and the Machine and Mumford and Sons. Spalding, a beautiful yet slightly unknown jazz artist, shocked everyone when she took home to the award.
So…not only did these excited teenagers attack Esperanza on Twitter, they also trashed her Wikipedia page! One fan wrote "JUSTIN BIEBER DESERVED IT GO DIE IN A HOLE. WHO THE HECK ARE YOU ANYWAY?" Another fan wrote "SHE IS F**KING RETARD (sic) THAT NO ONE HAS HEARD OF SO B**CH PLEASE DIE!" Wikipedia officials quickly removed the obscene comments, but not before they reached the masses.
