Jay-Z/Will Smith Producing New Annie Movie Remake Starring Willow Smith

Pint-sized singer Willow Smith has recently announced that she will be starring in the title role of “Annie”, which will be a film remake of the hit Broadway show that began in 1977.
Smith is the daughter of powerhouse couple Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith, both of whom are helping to produce the film along with rapper and mega star Jay-Z.
Jay-Z recently made an announcement about the new film, saying, “The Overbrook Entertainment family and I have a unified vision.
We’ve already produced a Tony Award winning play and we’re developing a true superstar in Willow.” Last year, the group put together a show called ‘Fela!’, which performed on Broadway for quite a long time, and was then nominated for 11 Tony Awards.

Phat Pharm sues Phag Farm

And we thought the folks at FCUK had balls. Phat Farm, the clothing line founded by Hip-Hop mogul Russell Simmons, has launched a court battle to prevent another company from infringing on the brand’s name.  Lawyers for Phat Fashions, the company that owns the Phat Farm trademark filed a $7 million dollar lawsuit against “Phag Farm,” a Florida-based T-shirt company.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed in US District Court for the Southern District of Miami, Phag Farm is confusing customers by selling T-Shirts that are similar in name to the famous Hip-Hop clothing line.
According to Phat Farm's lawyers, Phag Farm launched in early February of 2011 and started selling "merchandise at virginally identical price points to the apparel items sold by Phat Fashions."
Phat Fashions claims the Phagfarm.com website, which promotes the brand as being "pretty hot and gay" also confuses customers who are seeking PhatFarm.com.
The famous clothing line is also suing for trademark infringement, unfair competition and dilution of the Phat Farm brand.
Russell Simmons founded Phat Farm in 1992. In 2004, Simmons cashed out and sold Phat Farm to Kellwood for $142 million dollars in cash.

Faith Evans and Lil Kim : Comebacks to the Industry

The Lil’ Kim/Faith Evans feud goes further back than Biggie Vs. 2Pac and has also lasted longer. While both women are celebrating recent music releases Faith told Hiphopnews 24/7 “No I never really had any contact with Kim on a personal level other than when I first met her back in the day. [laughs] The last time I saw her was at Puff’s white party…I’m not really on the scene like that too much.” “I pray for her, I think she’s a great artist and I look forward to her new music.” Their beef comes from both of them being “in love” with The Notorious B.I.G at the same time. Kim was considered the side-chick while Faith married the late rapper. It seems like either Faith is over their squabble or never participated in it.

Dear Lord Why???? Asian Boy Burlesque! By Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera's "Burlesque" has apparently inspired a young boy to express himself. Sporting a black glittering dress, fishnet stockings complete with make up, the chubby Asian boy is seen dancing to Christina's song "Express" which is featured in the musical film in a video which has landed online.

He wears a hat in the first few seconds of the clip before throwing it on the floor. The boy also plays with a chair and does some difficult moves like lifting his legs to the air. He even spanks his own butt at another moment.

Chris Browns Speaks true feelings about industry

RnB singer Chris Brown has slammed the music industry after he failed to win anything at this year’s Grammy Awards.
Brown had been nominated for three prestigious awards – Best RnB Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals (for Take my Time), Best Rap/Sung Collaboration (he lost out to Alicia Keys and Jay-Z with New York State of Mind) and Best Contemporary RnB Album for his latest offering, Graffiti.

After the ceremony, Brown hit up his Twitter page, writing “To all the fans!! I love y’all. Don’t be upset!! This industry is based on politics and a**kissing! My only concern is Team Breezy! F**k everybody else!” To be fair he is probably right
